Twizy day Bermuda

As noted earlier, we rented this ah-dorable little vehicle called a Twizy. It's all electric and can travel a distance of up to 50 miles on a single charge. There are several spots on the island where you can pull in and plug in. When we got to St. George we did just that even though we weren't yet at a half tank (as it were). We wandered around the town which was founded in 1609 and is a UNESCO site. We also decided to have lunch there.

The statue is of George Somerset the true founder of Bermuda, even though a Spanish sailor named Bermudez first discovered the island. He found it absolutely not to his liking and went elsewhere. Perhaps the island should really be named Somerset. At least old George got a town named after him, if not the whole island.
