Going to Horseshoe Bay and the Pink Sand Beach

Continuing on our day around the island, we made our way from St. George back towards Hamilton via the South Road and Horseshoe Bay, where there are pink sand beaches.

The white roofs that are so prevalent on the island are carved in such a way as to efficiently catch the rainwater and deposit it into cisterns at each home. Annual rainfall is about 60 inches, therefore sometimes on the scarce side.

The drink you see is the famous Swizzle. It's made of light and dark rums, orange and pineapple juice, grenadine and bitters. I was not a fan....

Finally, the most beautiful things no here on this island, other than the super super nice people, are the views of the water and the beaches. Absolutely pristine!!
