It was a beautiful early morning transit through the Gatun locks as part 1 of our transit through the Panama Canal. Warm but not yet muggy.
We were presented with Panama hats, fresh and delicious Panama rolls, and a pretty sunrise at OH DARK THIRTY. Well. Entirely worth it.
This is my second time transiting the Canal. Always fascinating. Last year I read everything I could about it, watched documentaries and oohed and ahhed as we went through. This year, I slept until the last possible minute.
It is more fun to experience it with someone, so I'm glad Jimmy is along.
