We had a beautiful sunset at sail away last night. Today we had a late arrival into Corinto. We booked a HAL tour today out to the Rosario Estate where we've been treated to a nice horse show, a drive through to see the work they do with physically and mentally challenged kids. They work with the horses which helps the kids build confidence and strength.
Backing up a bit - I'd like to say the following: Never have I ever. Yesterday, in Costa Rica, we took a private tour, as I have previously mentioned. I've been using private tour companies across the world for 20 years. Never ever had a single problem or worry. But yesterday the one road back to the ship was closed down so we had to take a roundabout way back. Our guide promised us we'd be back by 4:00. All aboard was 4:30. Sigh. We didn't get back until 4:25.
Those of you who know me know that I was FREAKING out!! I was responsible for 6 of us. Of course, I went right to the worst case scenario. I told our guide I was worried we wouldn't make it back. He kept reassuring me. I flat out told him I didn't believe him. Anyway, we made it. But this girl was not happy.
Of course, it won't stop me from doing more private tours going forward, but I've taken note.
That's why I don't set up private excursions! I would have had a stroke.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your blog!
I would have been freaking out too. Like you, I would continue taking private tours too. They're usually so much better and at a big discount!
