Alesund early Morning

Our next port of call was Alesund, very picturesque little city north of Bergen. A fire occurred in 1904 which destroyed virtually the entire city, as most buildings were constructed of wood. It was rebuilt and many of the buildings in the city center area are of art nouveau design.

We docked early, and since myntour wasn't due to depart until 9:30, I took the opportunity to have a bit of a walk through town while it was quiet.
