Napier

We visited Napier today. A city of about 16,000 people. It was nearly destroyed in. 7.8 earthquake in 1931. The city was rebuilt in, what was popular at the time, an Art Deco style. Today, the city is considered the Art Deco capital of the world.

It's also a city in an area of New Zealand called Hawkes Bay. Lots of wineries are here. I went on a tour today and visited three wineries. I also got a chance to see some of the surrounding area. It's really a very pretty place. Like pretty much all of New Zealand.
