Miscellaneous Quebec City

We found a great little popcorn shop in the old city called Mary's. It's a family run business and their popcorn is yummy. They feature one with maple syrup.

While strolling, Adrienne found a swing and Snort made a new friend.

A rainy overcast day greeted us as we sailed in to Quebec City. We made the best of it and enjoyed the old town area as well as seeing the most photographed hotel in the world, Chateau Frontenac. There's an upper and a lower part of Old Quebec. A few blocks of cobblestone streets as well as the port are on the bottom. A set of steep stairs or a $3 ride on the funicular will get you to the top, where Chateau Frontenac is as well as many park squares, churches and restaurants.

People

Didn't take a lot of selfies this trip, but besides the few I've already posted, here's a couple more. Yesterday, in Montreal, we met up with my friends Mariana and Pedro and their two kids, Pietra and Nuno. I've known Mariana since she lived with us as an exchange student when she was in high school. It's so nice to be able to see her once in awhile. They live in São Paulo, Brazil. It was just a fluke that we wound up in Montreal on the same day!!

The girl in the picture with the two dogs is Jenny. A complete stranger that let me take her picture with her two adorable dogs, while we we're in Quebec City.

Adrienne liked the little wagers that came with ice cream so one night that's all she ordered.
My favorite dessert was the chocolate delight. So rich and yummy. Like a very thick pudding inside.
The bottom mess is poutine, a national favorite in Canada, or at least in Quebec. It's made of French fries, cheese curds and a brown, somewhat spicy gravy. Not very healthy but pretty tasty.
